Lawyer Wellness
"According to the World Health Organization, well-being isn’t just the absence of illness. As detailed in the 2017 Lawyer Well-Being Report , lawyer well-being contributes to organizational success, ethical integrity, and it supports and recognizes our humanity. We must take a holistic approach to our well-being: intellectual, physical, emotional, social, occupational, and spiritual. Lawyers take on the problems of our clients, friends, and family members. We need opportunities to recover from our work. Recovery can involve physical activity, disengagement from work through hobbies, and sleep. It is not too late to take action now to improve lawyer well-being as an individual, law firm, or as a bar association. The Lafayette Bar Association is committed to advancing lawyer well-being and we are here for you." -LBA 2020-2021 President Karen King
