Case By Case
Every day, the Lafayette Bar Foundation is taking cases for those in our area who cannot afford legal aid but are in need of representation for pressing civil matters. As an attorney looking to volunteer, you can now view all available cases in need of a pro bono attorney and decide where you can give your best assistance. How to Accept One of the Cases Below
- Step 1: Search through available pro bono matters below.
- Step 2: Once you find a case you are willing to take, click the "I Want to Help" link below the case description.
- Step 3: When an email is generated, fill out the form already provided within the body of the email.
- Step 4: Send the email, which will be sent to the Pro Bono Director, who will be in contact upon receipt of your email.
Case #1: Divorce Only (does not wish to pursue custody) |
Client seeks assistance in connection with obtaining a 103(1) divorce. There is a minor child; however we are not addressing the custody. The client does not wish to address any other ancillary issues. |

We need an attorney to give a pro se divorce clinic here at the Bar office to show qualified/vetted participants how to file a 103(1) divorce with no children themselves. We will have no more than 4 participants at a time. |
